Γιάννης Αγγελάκας

Γιάννης Αγγελάκας (Giannis Aggelakas) is a singer, musician, poet and actor, born in 1959 in Thessaloniki, Greece. He became widely known as the lead singer and frontman of the famous Greek rock band Τρύπες (Trypes) from 1984 to 2000 when the band disbanded.

After Τρύπες disbanded in 2000 he continued his work in music by collaborating with artists like Νίκος Βελιώτης (Nikos Veliotis) - "Γιάννης Αγγελάκας & Νίκος Βελιώτης" and the group Επισκέπτες (translated 'Visitors') - "Ο Γιάννης Αγγελάκας και οι Επισκέπτες". The result of that collaboration is the album "Από 'δώ και πάνω". The album received praise by critics and fans alike and was followed by a series of full band concerts all over Greece.
