Biography Big Daddy G
Founded in 1998 by guitarist Dave Glover, Big Daddy G has performed at many of the top music festivals across Canada including: Montreal Jazz Festival, Ottawa Blues Fest, Toronto Beaches Jazz & Blues Festival, Mt Tremblant Blues Festival, Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival in Fredericton, Festiblues Montreal, London Blues Fest, Windsor Blues Fest, Limestone Blues Festival in Kingston.
Far & above, the ultimate thrill so far was being the opening act for blues icon B.B. KING at two Toronto-area concert dates. Big Daddy G received a standing ovation and Dave Glover was later called out on stage for a bow by BB himself!.
Big Daddy G has appeared on national television on the OPEN MIKE WITH MIKE BULLARD tv Show. BDG also appeared several times on CITY TV's "Breakfast Television" & Rogers "Daytime" shows. Big Daddy G's cd release "Topless" from 2000 was nominated for a JUNO award for "Best Blues Recording".
Big Daddy G is currently back in the studio working on a 4th release. At the dials is acclaimed engineer/producer Alec Fraser. Alec's recent work with Morgan Davis earned a Juno award! Watch for a release date of late 2006 / early 2007!
