History Phlox

There are at least three artists or bands with the name of Phlox.

One is a fusion/prog rock band from Tallinn, Estonia, formed in 1999. Although the line up has gone through numerous changes over the years, most of the members usually have close ties with 'MKDK', a jazz-rock/avant garde record label, non-profit organization and movement of artists and musicians, who frequently switch from one band to another, especially between 'Phlox',' BF' and 'Lippajad'.

The other is an acoustic, alternative folk group out of Tallahassee, FL, USA, featuring KATHERINE EASTERLING, guitar, vocals; TYLER MAUNEY, upright bass; and JOHN FRANCE, percussion, backing vocals. On their earliest recordings, Katherine Easterling was backed by Jes Bradley on drums and Jeff Davis on bass. Phlox features original music written by Katherine Easterling, "mostly in the woods and inspired by really weird dreams and love."

And the other one is Phlox from Malaysia, progressive, psychedelic and rock band. Recorded live in early 2011, Quiver is a self-released concept album from Phlox with Hakim Tahar on vocal, keyboards, acoustic and electric guitars, Hanafi Rahman on electric guitar, Syazwan Sazali on electric bass guitar and Ahmad Zulikhwan on drums and percussions.
