Biography Gunnar Svensson

Gunnar Svensson was a swedish jazzmusician, composer, pianist and singer also known under his alter ego "Helmer Bryd" of Helmer Bryds Eminent Five Quartet.

In the 40s Gunnar Svensson was one of Swedens leading jazz pianists and played among others with Arne Domnérus at Nalen for many years.

For the recording of Hans Alfredssons radio show M/S Thure II in 1957 his (at the time) trio was offered the job as musicians for the Hasse & Tage (aka AB Svenska Ord) revue Gröna Hund (one of swedens most appreciated comedy revues through the times).
