Starting as an idea between two brothers, The Cold Starts began as a three-piece hardcore punk rock band (soon after adding Casey) hailing from Duluth, Minnesota reintroducing an otherwise dead sound in the scene. Bringing a new school sensibility to an old sound, TCS have a range of influences from the beginnings of Alice Cooper which at times can be heard in their powerful lead guitar with the energy of bands such as Minor Threat and their catchy hooks coming from Pre-New Wave Against Me!.
