Biography Ben Castle

Ben Castle is a composer, saxophonist and clarinetist who originally formed in Buckinghamshire, UK in the late 1900s

He has played with Duke Special, Radiohead, Quincy Jones, Matthew Herbert, Amy Winehouse, Stan Tracey, Dizzee Rascal, Kula Shaker, Guillemots, Paloma Faith, Sting, Will Young, Jools Holland, Marlena Shaw, Jamie Cullum, Boy George & Tony Bennett.

He has written music with Beth Rowley (including a song for the film “An Education’), Carleen Anderson, Duke Special and Clare Teal as well a various music for television.

He's occasionally allowed off the leash to make his own music too.

In 2004 ‘The Heckler’ from ‘Blah Street’ won first prize in the International Songwriting Competition jazz category, judged by Pat Metheny.

In 2006 he appeared on the 72p stamp playing his saxophone.
