Biography Gérard Siracusa

Gérard Siracusa, born in 1957 in Tunis, is a french percussionist and composer. He's an artist of color and a painter of musical timbre.

He is co-founder of G.R.I.M. (Groupe de Recherche et d'Improvisation Musicales) and collaborator of G.M.E.M. (Groupe de Musique Expérimentale de Marseille).

He leads or co-leads groups such as "Slumberland" with Louis Sclavis, "Alma Ata" with Beñat Achiary, "m'Arco Polo" with Michael Riessler, "Le bûcher des silences" with Valentin Clastrier, and collaborates to many contemporary music and creative jazz ensembles.

His solo career features:

- the album "Jardins de paille",

- the multipercussion evolutive concert show "Solibrius",

- solo drums concerts,

- musical theatre.

He works regularly in music with electronics with Jacques Diennet and Nicolas Vérin.
