History Jazz Q

Jazz Q was a Czech jazz rock/progressive rock band lead by keyboard player and composer Martin Kratochvil.

The band was founded in 1964 by Martin Kratochvíl and Jiří Stivín.

Stivín left the band by after only appearing on the band's first LP. The band was most active in the 1970s, but as of 2022, the band still continues to perform sporadically.

British singer Joan Duggan was a notable member of the band while she lived in Czechoslovakia at the time.
