New Days Delay

New Days Delay was founded in 1999 in the German town of Bremen. The original lineup consisted of Christoph Curth (guitars, programming), Matthias Dopp (bass) and Insa Knapp (vocals). A short demo E.P. ("Plastic Faces") was recorded at Alien Style Studios with the help of Rolf Kirschbaum (White Rose Transmission, Fehlfarben The Pachinko Fake etc.). Armed with their newly recorded demo, they immediately began playing gigs in Austria, Denmark, and throughout Germany. They quickly drew a strong fan base and soon found themselves playing larger festivals alongside bands such as Cinema Strange, Ikon, and Passion Play.

In the winter of 2001, Matthias decided to part ways with the rest of the band to pursue his own project, Avaritia.
