Jean-Marc Couture - Grand winner of Star Academy 2012

Unveiled by his victory at Star Academy in 2012, Jean-Marc Couture likes to drive the crowd with his music. Outstanding musician with a hoarse voice, he can also do well as blues rock. His career began at a young age. At age 9, he won the competition The Golden Voice. It fits the following guitar lessons to better control his art. The musical style of Jean-Marc is defined from its 16 years, thanks to his new guitar teacher, who urges him to go to study music in the Old Capital. Parallel to his studies, he sang in bars of Quebec.

Jean-Marc is a striking authenticity, in life and on stage, he makes us live their emotions and when it occurs it leaves its mark on everything he does. It has made us see all colors with his talent and passion. His deep voice and his gift to strum the guitar have captivated many. Artists with whom he has performed have not stopped to throw flowers. From a guitar trio with Patrick Norman and Michel Rivard on Guitar Jeremiah, through Johnny Hallyday and energetic Light the fire, and to Michel Pagliaro Fou de toi, to Folks and Dégénérations, Jean-Marc sang with the biggest stars of French song in Star Academy. He once again proved his talent on the album and in the show Star Academy Christmas 2012, among others with a very holy night blues.

In addition to ignite the Idol tour this summer and have seen on television regularly since, including the gala celebration in 2013, the debut album by Jean-Marc Couture, if that is your desire, will be launched to great Olympia in Montreal on May 21. Collaborations with Daniel Bélanger, Coeur de Pirate, Éric Lapointe, Michel Pagliaro, Marc Dupré and Gregory, among others, his first solo album promises to appeal to fans who saw him triumph last year at Star Academy!
