History Mercy Train

Mercy Train released "Presence" in 1994 after playing festivals and gigs creating a minor buzz. The band were formed in London UK. The original lineup was made up of Richard West (keys), Karl Groom ( (guitars) and Rich Burge ((vocals) with Nick Harradence (drums) and Peter Gee (bass).

The album was recorded at Bluecage Studios in Surrey. Rich, Karl and Rich Burge wrote and recorded all the tracks themselves with production being handled by Rich West and Karl.

Karl Groom and RIchard West were founder members of progressive rock band Threshold who have since gone on to make several successful albums and toured across Europe and the US. Karl is now a sought after producer of metal/prog and death metal bands including Dragonforce. Nick and Karl have recently completed a short tour with Shadowlands another prog band. Peter Gee is also an orignal member of Pendragon another long running prog rock band Pendragon. A new album Pure is availalble at http://www.pendragon.mu/
