Kevin Covais was born on May 30, 1989 to John and Patty Covais. He was raised in Levittown, New York.

Covais was on the fifth season of American Idol where he placed 11th. His song choices consisted of "One Last Cry", "I Heard It Through the Grapevine", "Vincent (Starry, Starry Night)", "Part Time Lover", and "When I Fall in Love".
