Laughing Clowns, a post-punk band formed in Sydney in 1979, became known for their distinctive sound blending free jazz, bluegrass, and krautrock influences. During their five years of activity, the band released three LPs, two mini-albums, and several singles and compilations. Vocalist and guitarist Ed Kuepper and drummer Jeff Wegener were the only consistent members throughout the band's history.
