The Count Basie Orchestra was the epitome of a fine jazz organization. With some of the finest musicians available, charts by the best in the business, such as Neal Hefti, Quincy Jones, and guys right out of the band. Not only was it a wonderful group of musicians, but the attitude of the leader was a joy. Let me not forget the Joe Williams baritone, unparalleled. As they titled one album, they were all "The Greatest."
