Jurassic 5 is an American alternative hip hop collective formed in Los Angeles. The group's core members include rappers Chali 2na, Akil, Soup (also known as Zaakir), and Marc 7, alongside DJs Nu-Mark and Cut Chemist. Their musical journey began at the Good Life venue in Los Angeles.
The group initially disbanded in 2007, following the release of their album "Feedback," due to creative differences. However, they reunited for live performances in 2013 and released a new track in 2014, demonstrating their enduring connection. Since their reunion, the members have also pursued individual musical projects.
