Bobby Ray Simmons Jr., better known by his stage name B.o.B, is a Grammy-nominated American rapper, singer, and producer from Decatur, Georgia. Rising to fame in the late 2000s, he became a central figure in the Atlanta hip-hop scene after signing with T.I.'s Grand Hustle Records and Atlantic Records.
B.o.B first gained attention through a series of mixtapes and EPs that showcased his ability to bridge the gap between hip-hop, pop, and rock. In 2007, he released the Eastside EP, followed by 12th Dimension. These early works highlighted his versatility as both a lyricist and a musician, setting the stage for his transition into the mainstream.
