History

Early Years and Salserín

Servando y Florentino are a celebrated Venezuelan duo consisting of brothers Servando and Florentino Primera Mussett. They first rose to international prominence in 1993 as the lead vocalists for Salserín, a youth salsa orchestra that was the first of its kind. As the sons of the legendary Venezuelan folk singer and activist Alí Primera, the brothers were immersed in music from a young age, which paved the way for their rapid ascent in the industry.

Solo Success and International Recognition

In late 1996, the brothers decided to leave Salserín to pursue a career as a duo. Under the guidance of Venezuelan singer-songwriter Ricardo Montaner, they transitioned into a more versatile pop-salsa sound. Their debut projects were met with massive commercial success, fueled by hits like "Una Fan Enamorada." This era solidified their status as icons across Latin America, earning them a massive following often referred to as "las fans."

Musical Evolution and Legacy

Throughout their career, Servando y Florentino have successfully navigated various genres, including salsa, pop, and romantic ballads. In addition to their performing careers, both brothers have established themselves as influential songwriters in the Latin music scene, contributing to hits for other major artists. Now based in Miami, Florida, they continue to record and perform, maintaining their relevance as one of the most enduring acts in Venezuelan contemporary music.
