Duke Dumont

Before 2012, Duke Dumont was recognized as a "producer's producer," a behind-the-scenes talent whose 12-inch records were a reliable choice for DJs seeking to captivate a crowd with expertly crafted electronic music.

His trajectory shifted significantly in 2012 with the release of two EPs on Tiga's Turbo Recordings, a label with which Dumont has maintained a long-standing association. The EPs, For Club Play Vol. 1 & 2, presented ecstatic deep house and UK bass tracks that resonated across the musical spectrum. Support came from influential figures like Annie Mac, Erol Alkan, Diplo, and Jackmaster, alongside mainstream radio plays on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, and even mentions from DJs such as Tiësto and Avicii. At his regular haunts, such as Fabric London, his track "The Giver" was reportedly played simultaneously in all three rooms.
