tipToe. is a Japanese idol group that officially formed on November 2, 2016. Based in Tokyo, the group is recognized for its unique conceptual approach to the idol genre, centered on the theme of "youth" and the fleeting nature of school life. Under the production of Honda Saichi, the group's music often blends elements of guitar-driven pop and emotional melodies, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that resonates with their audience.
One of the defining characteristics of tipToe. is its "limited-term" membership system. Members typically graduate after a three-year period, a policy designed to mirror the length of a standard Japanese high school education. This structure emphasizes the project's focus on growth and the temporary beauty of adolescence. Since their debut, the group has released several albums and singles, establishing a distinct presence in the alternative idol scene through their evocative storytelling and polished live performances.
