History
Nachtfalke
Nachtfalke is a German viking/black metal project originating from Schneeberg. Formed in 1996, the project is the work of Occulta Mors, who was also a member of the band Moonblood.
Early Releases and Demos
The project's initial output consisted of several demo tapes. "Zeit der Wölfe" was released in 1997, followed by "Sturmzeitalter" in 1998. An EP was also released in 1999.
Splits and First Full-Length Album
The year 2000 saw the release of two split albums. One was a collaboration with the band Luror, and the other, titled "Brennende Stürme," was released with Surthurs Lohe.
Nachtfalke's debut full-length album, "Hail Victory Teutonia," was released in 2001. This was followed by subsequent albums: "Doomed to Die" in 2002, "Land of Frost" in 2003, and the project's final album, "As the Wolves Died," released in 2005.
Boxed Set and Live Performance
In 2006, a boxed set was released, compiling the project's first three albums, which had been remastered. The set also included a cover of Darkthrone's "Transylvanian Hunger" from the split with SL, and a DVD featuring Nachtfalke's first-ever live performance.
