Drum Kru: A Drum and Bass Supergroup

Drum Kru emerged in 2001 as a notable collaboration, bringing together several prominent figures from the drum and bass scene of the era.

Formation and Vision

The supergroup was conceived by Sean Martins, also known as MC Ryme Tyme. Martins spearheaded the project under his 1210 imprint, which served as the sole outlet for Drum Kru's output.

Key Members

The collective featured an impressive roster of established artists. Among them were Dan Stein (DJ Fresh), Jason Maldini (Maldini), and Michael Wojcicki (Vegas), all renowned for their work with the influential Bad Company UK. Also contributing to the project were Daniel Burke (DJ Fierce), Duncan Hutchinson (DJ Trace), and Matt Quinn (Optical). Many of these musicians had a history of working together on various projects both before and after the formation of Drum Kru.
