Alecia Beth Moore-Hart, known professionally as P!nk, is an American singer and songwriter celebrated for her powerful vocals, acrobatic live performances, and outspoken activism. Since her debut in the late 1990s, she has evolved from a contemporary R&B artist into one of the most successful pop-rock icons of the 21st century.
P!nk’s musical career began at age 15 with the R&B girl group Choice. Although the group signed with LaFace Records in 1995, they disbanded before releasing a full-length project. P!nk remained with the label as a solo artist, releasing her debut album, Can't Take Me Home, in 2000. Influenced by the R&B trends of the era and produced by Babyface, the album was certified double platinum in the United States and featured the top-ten hits "There You Go" and "Most Girls."
