Turnstile Announces Reimagined Never Enough Versions Album

A Genre-Spanning Reimagination

The upcoming LP, titled Never Enough: Versions, is scheduled to arrive next Friday, August 28. This project serves as a reimagined take on the hardcore band's 2025 album, Never Enough. The collection boasts an extensive and diverse list of contributors, ranging from Pop and alternative powerhouses to figures in the death metal and jazz scenes. The project is described as a genre-spanning cadre of producers, singer-songwriters, rappers, and assorted pop and alternative artists. Among the high-profile guests are music icon Elton John and Hayley Williams.

The guest list for Never Enough: Versions includes a wide array of artists such as Slayyyter, A.G. Cook, Panda Bear, Blood Orange, Julien Baker, and Faye Webster. The project also features contributions from Dying Fetus, Four Tet, Alex G, Oklou, and Shabaka. Fellow Baltimore native Dan Deacon is also featured on the list, alongside Porches, Floating Points, Brandon Woody, and Chanel Beads. Rounding out the contributors are Angel Du$t, Nourished By Time, Mustafa, and DJ/producers Kettama and Rod Lee.

It remains unclear whether the artists involved are simply guesting on Turnstile’s own remakes or contributing their own covers of the original tracks. Fans will find out the exact nature of these collaborations when the album arrives in one week. No tracklist has been revealed as of yet, and how the various contributors will come together on the record remains to be seen.

The Never Enough Tour Pt. 2

Following the release of the reimagined album, Turnstile will embark on the Never Enough Tour Pt. 2 this September and October. This 16-date headline run is described as a mini-festival that will bring bespoke and curated lineups to amphitheaters nationwide. The trek is scheduled to kick off on September 9 in Milwaukee and will conclude a month later in Santa Ana, California, on October 18.

The tour will feature a similarly sprawling list of invitees at select stops. Some of the artists contributing to the new album—specifically Angel Du$t, Nourished by Time, Slayyyter, and Porches—will also take part in the tour. Other artists booked to join Turnstile along the way include:

Success of the Original Never Enough

The original Never Enough album, released last year, marked a significant milestone for Turnstile. The record debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard album chart, which stands as the band's highest placement to date. It also secured the group’s first No. 1 single. The album was widely celebrated as an expansive collection and a restless and exhilarating evolution of the band's sound. It has been described as a transformative journey, both fearless and alive, created by one of the most forward-thinking and influential bands of their generation.

Turnstile's work on Never Enough earned them their first two Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Album and Best Metal Performance for the album track "Birds." To accompany the music, the band also released a companion film titled Turnstile: Never Enough, which was directed by band members Brendan Yates and Pat McCrory and saw a theatrical release around the globe.

Since the album's release, the band has been bringing the Never Enough live show to huge crowds at festivals including Coachella, Primavera Sound, and Bonnaroo. Upcoming festival performances are scheduled for Lollapalooza, Flow Festival, and All Points East. Turnstile was originally formed in 2010 and consists of lead singer Brendan Yates, guitarists Pat McCrory and Meg Mills, bassist Franz Lyons, and drummer Daniel Fang.
