Elán is a rock-pop band from Bratislava, Slovakia, established in 1969 by Jožo Ráž and Vašo Patejdl, becoming professional in 1981. Jano Baláž joined the band in 1980. It became one of the most popular Czechoslovak bands during the eighties and still is one of the most widely recognized band both in Czech and Slovak Republic.
